Youth Pathways Fund
What is The Youth Pathways Fund?
The Youth Pathways Fund is a pot of money and expert friendly advice available to young people from Eastleigh Borough, to develop their skills and experience through creative activities.
We are very grateful for the generosity of the former 'Arts & Youth Trust for Eastleigh' charity, who have made this Fund possible for young people in our Borough.
Who can apply for the Youth Pathways Fund?
The Youth Pathways Fund is especially for young people aged 5 to 21 who are interested in creative activities, but whose circumstances have made it difficult to get involved or to know where to start:
Examples of these circumstances could be:
- A child or young person living in a low-income household (whose family might access income support, tax credits or free school meals)
- A child or young person living through a period of hardship such as having a family member who is unable to work due to ill health
- A child or young person living in care
- A young person aged 16+ living independently of parents/ guardians
- A young person not in employment, education or training
- A young carer
How does it work?
We will work with you on an individual basis to find the right creative experiences for you, with the fund available to cover fees or payments linked to these opportunities.
It might be that you would love to join our Youth Theatre and so we could use some of the funds to help pay for fees.
You might want to see more live performance or even go to the theatre for the first time, so we could provide for tickets for shows at The Point and The Berry Theatre.
It could be that you are hoping to go to on to study a creative subject at college or university and we could help you to prepare for an audition, or pay for your travel to get there.
We make the arrangements and offer you friendly advice and support and tell you about other opportunities along the way.
